Large Amount of Money Stolen from Upper Sandusky Woman’s Account

An Upper Sandusky woman reported the theft of money from her unemployment account.

The woman informed the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office that her account was hacked and the money was withdrawn.

She stated that a total of $15,000 was withdrawn in numerous online ATM withdrawals in one day.

The victim said her password was changed which locked her out of her own account.

A person of interest was named and the incident remains under investigation.
