A LaRue man was killed in a crash that occurred in Marion County this past Saturday night.

According to a release from the Marion Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 60 year old William B. Imbody lost control of his vehicle while driving west on Mount Olive-Green Camp Road.

The vehicle ended up off the left side of the road where it struck a rock, a bush, mailbox, telephone box and a tree.

Imbody was pronounced dead at the scene by the Marion County Coroner.

He was not wearing a seatbelt, and alcohol and-or drugs are suspected to be a factor.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, Green Camp Township Fire Department, MedCare EMS, and Buckeye Collision Services.

The crash remains under investigation.
