Law enforcement agencies are warning residents not to forget their outdoor pets during the dangerously cold weather.
Make sure that outdoor pets are kept inside if possible or provide them with proper shelter to stop the wind.
Check on them frequently and make sure their food and water has not frozen or become buried in snow.
The issue was highlighted with the recent discovery of dogs living in cold and filthy conditions in Wyandot County.
One dog was found dead, and the other 23 were rescued by the Wyandot County Humane Society.
The owner is facing charges.
