Leighton Street Bridge Opens Earlier than Expected

The Leighton Street Bridge project was completed a couple of days ahead of schedule.

The bridge reopened Thursday (Aug 19) afternoon.

It was closed on Wednesday, August 11th and was scheduled to be closed until this Sunday.

The City and County worked together to get the north edge of the bridge repaired.

Asphalt was cut out and the steel decking underneath replaced.
