Kenton Public Works employees Joe Sherman and Burl Helton discussed upcoming repairs to the Leighton Street bridge with Hardin County Engineering’s Scott Wetherill and Trent Bass on Wednesday.
The City and County are working together to get the north edge of the bridge repaired.
The Leighton Street bridge is scheduled to be closed from Wednesday, August 11th through Sunday, August 22nd.
Asphalt will be cut out and the steel decking underneath replaced.
The city is planning on having the bridge back open on Monday, August 23rd, the first day of school for Kenton students.
