Lima Man Dead in Pickup/Lawn Mower Accident

A Lima man was killed after his lawn mower was struck by a vehicle on Warsaw Road in Allen County Thursday evening.

According to a release from the Lima Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 64 year old Steven Phillips attempted to drive across Warsaw from the south ditch and his lawn mower was struck by a westbound pickup being operated by 17 year old Leyton Sidener, of Cridersville.

Phillips was pronounced dead at the scene.

The pickup and lawn mower were towed from the scene.
