Lots of 4th of July Activities Taking Place Around the Region this Weekend

A fireworks display will take place in the Village of Ada.

The display will start at around 9:45 this evening.

They will be launched from the Ada baseball field near the Ada park.

The fireworks have been approved by the park board, Village Council and an agreement with the fireworks producer.

Fireworks in the city of Kenton return this year after a year off due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

$17,000 has been raised for the fireworks.

The display will start at 10pm this Sunday July 4 at the fairgrounds, which will be open for parking.

Another favorite spot to view the fireworks is at the Home Run Memorial Park on State Route 292.

The rain date for the fireworks is Monday night July 5.

As part of the Freedom Celebration in Kenton, Organizer Denna Clem said a parade will be held Saturday morning.

It will line up in the parking lot beside Kenton Theater 3 at 9 Saturday morning and will move out starting at 10.

The parade will follow the Halloween parade route, moving east to the east side of the Hardin County Courthouse, north to the north side and will end back at the parking lot.

Several events are taking place over this coming 4th of July weekend around the region.

On Saturday July 3, the fireworks display will begin at 10 on Saturday July 3 at Indian Lake.

On the 4th of July Sunday in Belle Center, activities will be taking place during the day.

That includes a parade at 1, kids tractor pull at 4 and fireworks at 10 that night.

In West Mansfield, a 5k Race will get started at 8:30 Sunday morning.

A parade starts at noon, and fireworks will be at dusk on July 4.
