With spring’s warmer weather, the Lima Police Department reminded residents that city ordinance prohibits basketball goals from being placed on the sidewalk, on the driveway apron, in the tree lawn and on the roadway.

This means those placing basketball goals in the areas will be ticketed and the basketball goals could possibly be removed.

Pick-up games should be kept out of the roadway and parents should not allow their children to play basketball in the roadway.
