A long-time anchor store in the Lima Mall will be closing.
The Lima News reported that a spokesperson for Macy’s confirmed to them Tuesday evening that the store will be going out of business.
The store will remain open through March of 2021.
After that time, some employees may be able to transfer to neighboring locations, while others could receive a severance package.
The store first opened as Lazarus in 1971.
In 2002, it became Lazarus-Macy’s, but in 2005, the Lazarus name was dropped altogether.
