Man Arrested in Connection to Shooting in Elida

A man was arrested after a shooting in Elida on Monday.

According to a release from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Irvin Road in reference to a female being shot.

When deputies arrived, they found the female suffering from a single gunshot wound. 

She was transported to Mercy Health St. Rita’s Hospital where she is in stable condition.  

Anthony J. Stalter, age 27, was taken into custody on a preliminary charge of suspicion of felonious assault. 

Criminal charges are subject to change as this is an ongoing investigation.
