A Sycamore man was arrested following a report of a fight late Tuesday afternoon in Wyandot County.

According to the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office report, deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 4000 block of State Highway 67 to investigate the incident.

It was discovered that one of the individuals involved, Chadrick Beekman, had an active warrant for his arrest out of Seneca County.

Beekman is said to have fled the area when he knew that officers had been called.

With the assistance of the Carey Police Department K-9 unit, Beekman was located at a nearby property hiding in the closet of a camper.

He refused orders to come out, and deputies entered the property and took him into custody without incident.

Beekman has been charged with obstructing official business and resisting arrest based on his knowledge of the active warrant.

He was transported to the Wyandot County Jail.
