A male suspect attempted to pass counterfeit money at Village Pantry Thursday night.

According to the Kenton Police Department report, the man had two $20 bills, but when the employee checked the bills, she discovered they were counterfeit.

The man stated he didn’t know and left the store.

The employee was not able to get a good description of the vehicle or a plate number due to the snow.
