A Findlay man was shot during a disturbance in that city Thursday night.

According to a release from the Findlay Police Department, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of Center Street where they found 34 year old Garrett Kurk, who had been shot in the leg on the back patio of the house.

Kurk was transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital for treatment.

The investigation revealed that a verbal argument occurred outside the residence, and the suspect pulled a gun and fired a couple of rounds.

The suspect then fled the scene.

The incident does not appear to be a random act, but the motive has yet to be determined.

This investigation remains open at this time.
