Mansfield Man Killed in Wyandot County Crash Tuesday

A fatal crash occurred in Wyandot County Tuesday morning.

According to a release from Wyandot County Sheriff Todd Frey, 80 year old Dennis C. Grassel, of Mansfield, failed to negotiate a curve while driving east on County Highway 53.

His vehicle went off the right side of the road where it struck a tree and then overturned.

Grassel was pronounced dead at the by Wyandot County Coroner Dr. Peter Schuler.

The Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by Upper Sandusky EMS, Upper Sandusky JAWS, the Wyandot County Coroner’s Office and Richland Township Fire Department.

The crash remains under investigation.
