Marion County Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident Early Monday

A Marion man was killed in a motorcycle accident that occurred early Monday morning on Gooding Road in Marion County.

According to the report from the Marion Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 48-year-old Robert Daso was traveling south on Gooding Road when a vehicle being driven by 20-year-old Coulter Deboer, of Richwood, pulled into his path from a stop sign on Bethlehem Road.

The motorcycle struck the vehicle on the driver’s side.

Daso, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deboer was transported to Marion General Hospital for possible injuries and was later released.

The crash remains under investigation.
