Marion Man Sentenced for Raping 12 Year Old Girl
A man from Marion was sentenced Monday to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 15 years for raping a 12 year old girl.
The Marion Star reported that 39 year old Donald E. Curtis Jr. pleaded guilty to rape and gross sexual imposition back in February. As part of the plea agreement, 14 other charges were dismissed.
The prosecution had asked for a sentence of life in prison with the possibility of parole after 13 years, Judge Jason Warner went the stiffer sentence, which was the maximum allowed.
