Marysville Police Say be Aware of Different Types of Counterfeit Money

The Marysville Police Department said it’s a good idea to be familiar with themany different types of counterfeit money as we head through the Holiday Shopping Season/

Some of these counterfeits bills are:

.Motion Picture Money that can be purchased online

.Outdated U.S. currency ($50 or $100) that can more easily be duplicated

.Counterfeit currency being brought into the U.S. that has pink or purple Chinese lettering on them

One way to check for a legitimate bill is to look at the lower right corner. The denomination on the lower right corner of newer bills changes color when viewed at different angles.
