Kenton City Schools Back to School Protocols: Excited to Start the New School Year

Kenton, OH: Kenton City Schools has informed their staff, parents and students of the guidelines they will follow to start the 2021-2022 school year:

Masking will be optional at this time.

Students will need to remain at home if they or a person in their household test positive for COVID-19 for 10 days from the date the test was taken and may return to school as long as they are not symptomatic after the 10 day period.

Notification of positive cases will be sent to parents on a school by school basis.

There will be no limits for extra or co-curricular school events aside from the normal seating capacity.

The district will continue to use best practices for hand washing, social distancing, sanitizing, and air quality.

These guidelines are subject to change based on state/national mandates and future circumstances.
