The Marion County Sheriff’s Office last week became the first agency in Ohio to roll out What3Words.

That is a location technology app designed to locate people who are lost or may not know where they are, so that help can be sent.

Dispatchers will be able to use the app to locate a person within 10 feet of their exact location so that emergency services can be sent to render aid.

People can download the free What3Words app in the app store.
