Michigan Man Arrested Following Incident in Lima

A Michigan man was arrested following an incident in Lima this past Sunday.

 

According to a release from the Lima Police Department, officers were dispatched to the Travelodge on South Leonard Avenue after the panic alarm was activated.

 

Upon arrival, officers were informed that there was a man in the lobby with a gun.

 

As they were preparing to enter the hotel, gunshots were heard from inside.

 

The officers entered the hotel and found 38 year old Jujaun Payne, who put the handgun down when he saw the officers.

 

He was taken into custody without incident.

 

While conducting a search of Payne, officers found to be in possession of heroin.

 

The room he was staying in was also searched and more suspected narcotics were found.

 

Payne will be incarcerated at the Allen County Jail.
