Michigan Woman Killed in Crash Tuesday Evening in Mt. Victory

A Michigan woman was killed in a two vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday evening in Mt. Victory.

According to a release from Hardin County Sheriff Keith Everhart, a vehicle driven by Annie Li Yang, of Lansing, Michigan, went left of center while travelling north on State Route 31.

Her vehicle was struck by a southbound semi being operated by Maurice Hale, of Detroit, Michigan.

Yang was pronounced dead at the scene. Hale was not injured.

Southeast Hardin Northwest Union and Kenton Fire Departments, Southeast Hardin and BKP Ambulance Districts, the Hardin County Coroner’s Office, Hardin County Sheriff’s Volunteers in Police Service and Osborn’s Towing all assisted at the scene.

31 was closed for several hours while the wreckage was cleared.

The crash remains under investigation.
