The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance shined its latest Member Spotlight on Mid-Ohio Energy.
The member-owned, not-for-profit electric cooperative with headquarters in Kenton and a district office in Marion, provides electric service to 8,195 meters in Hardin County and nine additional north-central Ohio counties.
The co-op was formed locally to serve members and takes pride in a service reliability rate of 99.9%.
Mid-Ohio Energy offers youth programs, energy education, and electrical safety demos and supports local causes with Community Fund grants, employee volunteer support, and a versatile community meeting room that can be used by local organizations.
With winter weather still with us and Spring storms on the horizon, the co-op is encouraging its members and the public to be prepared in case of unplanned outages.
