Minor crash closes Marion street

Fairground Street in Marion was closed late Sunday night after a minor two-car crash.

Per the report from the Marion Police Department, a Dodge Journey crossing the railroad tracks at around 10 miles per hour around 11 p.m. struck the rear of a Kia Forte just ahead, causing no injury to any occupants of either vehicle.

The driver of the Dodge was cited for an assured-clear distance violation, as well as for driving without a valid license.
