The Kenton Lions club met on Wednesday November 17, 2021, at the Elks.
The meeting was called to order at 6:29 pm by Lion President Aaron Osborn with 21 members and 2 guests present.
President Lion Aaron Osborn led with the pledge and a prayer.
The meeting was adjourned and reconvened at 6:55 pm following a meal.
The meeting was opened with guest speaker County Commissioner Roger Crowe.
Commissioner Crowe shared information on the Veterans Banner Project. He shared that there are 400 banners being hung. They are hung prior to Memorial Day and taken down after Veterans Day. Other communities have contacted Commissioner Crowe on how this project works.
A question-and-answer period followed Commissioner Crowe’s presentation.
Member were provided an update on the Christmas Parade route by Lion Jason VanBuskirk.
Line up for the parade will begin at 4:30 (November 23).
Lion members were assigned jobs to make the line up go smoothly.
Lions will have a Christmas Dinner meeting on December 1st.
50/50 drawing was won by Lion Alger Gibson.
