Minutes of Kenton Lions Meeting Released

The Kenton Lions club met on Wednesday February 16, 2022, at the Kenton Elks.

The meeting was called to order at 6:32 pm by Lion President Aaron Osborn with 17 members and 1 guest present.

President Lion Aaron Osborn led with the pledge and a prayer. The meeting was adjourned and reconvened at 7:01 pm following a meal.

The 3rd reading of the 2022-2023 Kenton Lions Club Officers was completed, with the addition of Lion Kevin McPherson as 3rd Vice President and were approved with this addition.

Guest speaker Ms. Holly Underwood, President and CEO/Director of Economic Development at Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance was introduced by Lion Jason VanBuskirk.

Ms. Underwood shared information about her position.

She also shared that they were currently looking for a Kenton Historic Courthouse District Coordinator.

Members were provided with brochures that contain information about the Chamber and Business Alliance.

Questions and answers followed the presentation.

Kenton Lions Club members are preparing for the 2022 Lions Roar “Still Alive at 75”. Lion Todd Oates reviewed and distributed posters and tickets. He also reviewed plans for skits and assigned members to tasks that needed completed.

Ticket sales are currently underway.

Patron tickets are $15.00, admit 2 persons to the show and your name will be printed in the show program.

50/50 drawing was won by Lion Matt Manns.
