December 16, 2021 Regular Board Meeting Highlights

Congratulations to the following students who have received their iCEV Industry Certifications for the 2020-2021 school year. Their instructor was Stephanie Jolliff. Sydney Snider from iCEV presented the students and school with a banner for the ag classroom.

Congratulations to Landon Newland for earning recognition in the All Northwest District Football selections as Honorable Mention for the 2021 football season.

Board president Charlie McCullough recognized Mr. Corey Ledley-Ridgemont Board of Education Member who served at his last Ridgemont Board of Education meeting tonight. Mr. Ledley was elected and started his first term in January of 2010 and his latest term will expire December 31, 2021. Mr. Ledley entered the Board eager to learn and represent the students and has always been a well respected member. Mr. Ledley has held President and Vice President and was on many committees and always willing to help where there was a need. Mr. Ledley was presented a Ridgemont wooden box. Thank you Mr. Ledley for his service to the Ridgemont Local School District. We will miss you and thank you for your dedication to our students as a board member the last 12 years.

Personnel
Substitute Teachers were approved for the 2021-2022 school year.

Operations
The Board approved a resolution authorizing a contract with SHP for design professional services for the preschool renovation, playground improvements project and the track improvement project. This is the same design firm as the K-12 building was and we are looking forward to working with them again. We will be moving forward with these projects and we will keep you posted on updates.

The 2022 Board Reorganizational Meeting was set for Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 5:00 pm in the Conference Room. The Regular January Board meeting will immediately follow. The President Pro Temp for the 2022 Reorganizational meeting will be Charlie McCullough.

We would like to recognize and thank everyone for all of their donations to the Ridgemont Local School District:

Thank you to Rayanne Nye, for volunteering many hours in the Music Department and sharing her music talents with our students.

Thank you to Santa Claus for making an appearance at the Music Programs Wednesday night and also stopping in the gym to visit the high school boys basketball team. We appreciate Santa taking time out of his busy schedule this week to bring Christmas Cheer to our students.

The next Board meeting will be the 2022 Reorganizational Meeting and it will be held on January 13, 2022, at 5:00 pm in the Conference Room with the Regular January Board meeting immediately following.
