(Marion) United Church Homes and Marion Technical College are excited to announce a new educational partnership.

This offers professional development for the United Church Homes staff as well as learning opportunities for Marion Tech students.

“United Church Homes is committed to investing in the ongoing education and professional development of our team,” said Rev. Kenneth V. Daniel, president and CEO. “We look forward to working with Marion Technical College to elevate our staff and develop new leaders for the future.”

In addition to providing leadership training and career development, Marion Tech will provide continuing education for staff in areas including accounting, human resources management, nursing, information technologies and web development.

Marion Tech Workforce Solutions is also offering self-directed courses to aid United Church Homes staff in areas such as on strategic planning, project management and a variety of soft skills.

In addition to meeting the workforce training needs of United Church Homes, Marion Tech students seeking hands-on experience with a major employer can find opportunities for internships and clinical training. These are vital for students to gain critical real-world experience before graduating.

“This partnership will benefit our college, United Church Homes, our students and our community,” said Dr. Ryan McCall, president of Marion Tech. “When our students and our employers succeed, we all win.”

With the signing of the new agreement, these two leaders will gain a closer relationship and synergy.
