Richwood Man Killed; Passenger Injured in Union County Crash

A 21-year-old Richwood man was killed in a one vehicle crash early Wednesday morning on Sandusky Road in Union County’s Leesburg Township.

According to the report from the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Gabriel Allen lost control of his vehicle while driving south on Sandusky.

The car went off the right side of the road, and Allen over-corrected causing it to travel off the left side of the road where it struck a utility pole, spun into an open field and overturned.

Allen was partially ejected from the vehicle.

He was transported to Union Memorial Hospital in Marysville where he died.

A passenger in the car, 19-year-old Kitanna Lowry, of Richwood, was ejected from the car and was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

Alcohol is suspected in the crash, which remain under investigation.
