A Mohawk School bus was involved in a three vehicle crash this morning in Wyandot County.

According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office, 39 year old Eric Godfrey, of Tiffin, failed to stop in time while driving south on State Highway 53.

His car struck the rear of a vehicle being operated by 29 year old Sarah Stromack, of LaGrange, Ohio, pushing it into the rear of the bus being driven by 64 year old Daniel Burks, of Sycamore, who had just finished loading students and started moving again.

After the collision, Godfrey’s vehicle overturned and came to rest in the southbound lane of 53.

Stromack was taken to Wyandot Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries.

The 8 students, driver and another passenger on the bus were not injured.

Heavy damage occurred to both cars and the bus received light damage.
