North Baltimore Public Library has opened a new gaming area for children.
Jeannie Wiley Wolf at the Courier reports the donation of a rug and 55-inch Smart TV to the library’s children’s area in memory of longtime patron Kevin Welch, who died in October 2019.
The library plans to use the television for story times, film viewings, and controller-free, movement-based video games.
Future plans for the library may include a teen gaming area, allowing for tournaments against other libraries, among other concepts.
