North Carolina Couple Killed in Allen County Crash

A crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Allen County claimed the lives of two people.

 

According to a release from the Lima Post of the Ohio State Patrol, 77 year old Suzanne M. Schaab, of North Carolina, drove onto U.S. 30 after stopping for a stop sign on Thayer Road. 

 

Her car was struck by an eastbound pickup truck being operated by 54 year old Hillard Craft, of Fostoria.

 

Schaab and her front seat passenger, 78 year old David M. Schaab, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

 

Craft was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

 

The crash remains under investigation. 

 

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reminds motorists to never drive impaired or distracted, and to always stop and yield at posted stop signs.
