There were numerous reports of trees, tree limbs, cable or power lines down as well as items blown around, and that was just in the city of Kenton on Sunday.

Wind gusts reached up to 65 miles hour and persisted throughout the day and much of the overnight, and as a result, power outages have occurred in Hardin County and around the region.

576 customers lost electric service around 10:10 Sunday morning in southern Hardin and northern Hancock Counties.

There is some good news, AEP reported that service has been restored to residents in Dunkirk.

In addition, 1269 customers in the Ada area lost electricity last night. Power in that area was restored earlier today.

A handful of customers are without service in the Kenton area, and the power has been restored.

In all, AEP reports there are 2068 outages in its service area. That impacts 57,428 customers.
