Funeral services for Anna Belle Horne will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Bill Prater officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview-McDonald Cemetery outside of Kenton. Friends and Family may visit 1 hour prior to services at the funeral home. Masks will be required and Covid-19 protocols should be followed at all services.

Anna died on Friday, April 9, 2021 at the ProMedica Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania, Ohio. She was born in Hardin County to the late Frank and Catherine (Wilson) Shaffer. On January 14, 1961 she married Douglas Horne Sr and he preceded her in death on January 25, 2013.

Surviving are a son; Dougas Horne Jr of Northwood, a daughter; Libby (Charles) Howard of Millbury, OH, 2 sisters; Mary Ann (Bill) Prater of Bellefontaine, Barbara (Lloyd) Davis of TN, a brother; Duane (Kea) Shaffer of Roundhead, 3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Anna was preceded in death by a son; Charles Griffith Jr., and a sister; Martha Nickell.

Anna worked for RCA in Findlay for 10 years, Walmart in Perrysburg for 10 years but was a custom drapery seamstress for over 50 years. When she wasn’t sewing or working she enjoyed going to the Casino to play slots or watching her favorite Soap Operas.

Memorial donations may be made to the Urban and Shelley Meyer Fund for Cancer Research.
