of Kenton

Graveside services for Bill E. McNamee will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Grove Cemetery. Masks will be required and social distancing should be followed when able due to Covid-19 protocols. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Bill died on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital E.R. in Kenton. He was born on August 17, 1929 in Venedocia, OH to the late William and Mary Jane (Miller) McNamee. On October 15, 1954 he married Betty Seymour and she preceded him in death on November 9, 2015.

Surviving are nieces and nephews; Doris Ralston of Kenton, Richard Curl of Kenton, Robert (Dawna) Seymour of Nevada, Kathy (Doug) Dunlap of Spencerville, Karl (Ann) Coleman of Cleveland, Suzanne (Bob) Marinella of Bellville, a brother-in-law; Charles Coleman and special friends; Robert (Jennifer) White of Chalreston, S.C.

Bill was a U.S. Army Veteran serving as military police during the Korean Conflict.

He was a member of the Kenton VFW, Elks, Moose, Masons and the St. John’s Evangelical Church in Kenton. 

He worked for many years as a real estate broker and agent as well as an auctioneer.

Bill loved the Hardin County Fair. He tried to attend the fair everyday, and auctioneered the Jr. Fair Livestock Sale for many many years and was a Hardin County Fair Honoree.

Bill’s true passion was Golf. He was a life member of the Veterans Memorial Park Golf Course in Kenton. He golfed as much as he could and would often bring his dog, Rascal along for golf cart rides.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hardin Co. Fair Foundation C/O Hardin County Community Foundation/ Fair Fund, or the donors choice.
