of Mt Victory 

A graveside service for Brenda Kay (James) Phipps will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the Hale Cemetery in Mount Victory. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mount Victory is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Brenda passed away February 5, 2023 at her home with her family. She was born October 5, 1951 in Kenton, OH a daughter of the late C. Eugene and Betty (Peart) James.
On September 12, 1970, Brenda married Charles Phipps in Maysville, KY and he survives along with their children; Charles Phipps Jr of Mt. Victory, OH, Samuel (Heather Morgan} Phipps of Ada, OH Angela (Robert Mercer} LeVan of Mt. Victory, OH, Daniel (Michelle} Phipps of Belle Center, OH, eight grandchildren; Krystal (Luis) Monserrat, Alicia (Johnathan Lyons) Baer, Clay (Morgan Damron) Levan, Alexander Boyer, Anthony, Tyler, Jayden, and Adalynn Phipps, two great granddaughters; Aviana and Xiomara Monserrat, seven siblings; Dan James of Ridgeway OH, Rebecca (Charles) Schnitzler of Marion OH, Letita (Larry) Webb of West Mansfield OH, Susan (Michael} Smith of Mt. Victory, Nancy (Jamey) Lobolell of West Liberty OH, and Robert James of Kenton OH, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her brother Benjamin James and sister-in-law Deborah James
Brenda was a 1970 graduate of Ridgemont Schools. In 1972 Charles and Brenda moved to Italy for the Army and spent 18 months there. She was a stay at home mom. Her and Charles loved to take long country car rides. She loved to play poker with her family and friends. She had a collection of anything pigs and cats. Brenda also enjoyed sitting on her front porch in her swing and going to the Hardin County Fair.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hardin County Fair Foundation.
