Czerny J. Eyestone age 85, of Upper Sandusky died at his residence on Feb. 10, 2025. He was born July 3, 1939 in Upper Sandusky to the late John and Thelma (Case) Eyestone. He married Diane Ross and they divorced, he then married Susanna Whittington Compston on June 20, 1992, she preceded him in death on Oct. 6, 2015. He is survived by daughters Jenifer (Christoper) Roddy, Mt. Vernon and Laurel “Lori” (Jason) Hobbins, Columbus, step-children, J.D. (Lieschen) Compston, Worthington and Heidi Compston, Columbus, 7 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a sister Sheryl Gohl.
Mr. Eyestone graduated in 1957 from Upper Sandusky High School. He was a
life-long farmer, and was the maintenance supervisor for the Upper Sandusky School System for over 20 years. Czerny & his father built the first self propelled corn picker-sheller, they also built tractors, and various other farm equipment. He collected farm toys, and had an interest in local Native American History. Czerny enjoyed socializing at the local coffee shop.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00PM on Fri. Feb. 14, 2025 at Bringman Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Livingston officiating. Interment will be in Old Mission Cemetery. Visitation is from 10:00AM-12:00PM before time of services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Wyandot County Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center or Wyandot Memorial Hospital in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home 226 E.
