Funeral services for Dixie Lamley will be held at 11:00AM Friday, January 3, 2020 at The Price – McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Gregg King officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 4:00PM till 7:00PM Thursday, Januray 2, 2020.

She died on December 27, 2019 at her residence. She was born on July 12, 1936 in Kenton to the late William and Carrie Ann (Archer) Ommert. In July 1955 she married James William Curtis. On October 6, 1964 she married Jack Lamley and he preceded her in death on April 3, 2015.

Surviving are 5 children; Valerie Felty, Tina (Jeff) Dyer, Brett (Lavette) Curtis, Lisa (Jeff) Ruhlen, and Jackie (Rick) Hastings all of Kenton. 1 brother; Ronnie (Gay) Ommert of Kenton. 11 Grandchildren; Melissa (Ryan) Tracy, Mike (Mandy) Dyer, Jeremy Holland and friend Brandy McCoy, Jason Holland, Kassie (Keith) Hurt, Amanda (Jody) Curtis, Chase (Jacob Bloom) Ruhlen, Gage (Jed Whitaker) Ruhlen, Danielle (Jim) Cooper, Sumer Hastings and Sara (Doug) Collins. 16 Great Grandchildren; Kellen Holland, Riley Tracy, Ryder Tracy, Mandalle Dyer, Mirilee Dyer, Baileigh Spangler, Harleigh Spangler, Lora Hurt, Logan Hurt, Kylie Hurt, Haley Cooper, Alexis Cooper, Hannah Cooper, Madison Cooper, Cameron Collins and Katie Collins. Numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Dennis Ommert and Charles Ommert. 3 sisters; Jeanne Steiner, Doris Musgrave and Mary Ann Ropp. 2 son-in-laws; Randy Felty and Vance Searls.

Dixie worked at the Kenton City Schools for 25 years and was a Brownie Scout Leader for 9 years.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Christ.

She enjoyed camping with her husband and grandchildren for over 34 years.

She was an avid OSU fan and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

The family wishes that everyone wear casual clothing to the viewing and service.

Memorial donations may be made to Universal Home Health and Hospice.
