Earl Neil Sayre, of Upper Sandusky passed away on January 22, 2025, at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, Ohio, at the age of 84. He was born on August 9, 1940, in Patterson, Ohio, to Forest Earl Sayre and Chloetta Mae (Miller) Sayre.

Earl dedicated 32 years of his career to Westinghouse, where he established himself as a reliable and proficient die setter and electrician. His commitment to his profession extended beyond his work, as he served his country in the United States Air Force, notably as a platoon leader and flight mechanic.
Earl was actively engaged in his community, being a member of the Lions Club where he served as past president. He also enjoyed his time as a member of the Wyandot County Rod and Gun Club and was affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. His interests included dining out, hunting, and fishing, particularly on Lake Erie. Earl found joy in watching westerns on television and took pleasure in traveling to Louisiana. Earl Neil Sayre will be remembered not just for his community involvement and his relationships with the Amish Community but for the love he shared with his family and friends throughout his life.

He is survived by his sons, Cameron Sayre of Findlay, Zachary Sayre of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Dewayne (Angel) Sayre of Carey. Earl also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. He is remembered by his sisters, Marlene Clark of Kirby and Beth Ann (Dennis) Bodi of Upper Sandusky, as well as his step-son, Bill Marguson of Indiana, and his ex-wife, Shirley Clark of Indiana.
Earl is preceded in death by his father, Forest Earl Sayre; his mother, Chloetta Mae (Miller) Sayre; his sons, Scott Sayre and Matthew Sayre; his ex-wife, Patricia Jo Ealey; and his siblings, Deborah Gerling, Delores Sayre, Jeffery Sayre, Kenny Sayre, and Richard Sayre.

Visitation will be held from 11am-1pm on Monday January 27, 2025 at Bringman Clark Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1pm on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Old Mission Cemetery, Upper Sandusky with full military services being conducted by Upper Sandusky Veterans Color Guard.
