Mary Belle Schlatter, age 99, of Forest and, more recently, of Kenton, died Sat. Jan. 30, 2021, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton.
She was born July 3, 1921 in Forest to the late Harry & Lulu (Inman) Peart. She married Kenneth E. Schlatter Sr. on Nov. 21, 1942 and he passed Apr. 2, 2010.
Mrs. Schlatter is survived by a son Kenneth Schlatter Jr., Forest, Kolleen Stuard, Findlay, Kristina (Steve) VanBuskirk, Kenton, grandchildren Lori Kalb, Scott Schlatter, Brett Schlatter, Christopher Stuard, Kristen White, Rachael Wright, Elisha VanBuskirk, many great grandchildren, many great great grandchildren, a sister Ruth Shirk, Kenton. She was preceded in death by a sister Betty James, a daughter-in-law Judy Schlatter, and a son-in-law Stephen Stuard.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Kenton, where she was involved in the church missionaries, and Sunday School. She enjoyed reading, and her faithful companion dog Gidget.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM Thurs. Feb. 4, 2021 at Hueston Cemetery, Forest with Pastor Craig Mansfield officiating.
