After a short illness, Robert Wayne Eikenbary of Kenton passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at his residence at the age of 50.  Rob leaves behind his wife, Rozina; their sons, Jacob and Noah; his brother, Kevin (Kelly) Eikenbary; his nephews, Garrett and Chase Eikenbary, and in-laws, Randy and Margie Stackhouse.

Rob was born on May 9, 1970 in Lima, Ohio to the late Robert D. and Donna R. (Riling) Eikenbary.  He grew up in Dola and graduated in 1989 from Hardin Northern.

On June 19, 1993, Rob married Rozina M. Green and they spent 27 years together raising their sons.  He was previously employed by Kenton Structural and Triumph Thermal Systems.  Rob was currently employed as the maintenance supervisor at Golden Giant, Inc.  He also was the owner of Classic Trophy and Engraving.

Rob was a devoted husband and father.  He welcomed many of his son’s friends into his home and enjoyed cooking for his family.  Rob was especially proud of Jacob’s mechanical ability.  He was looking forward to watching Noah wrestle at the collegiate level.

Rob was always helping behind the scene with whatever project Rozina was working on.  He volunteered coaching midget football and was the Cubmaster for Pack 121.  He was a member of the Kenton Moose #428 and St. John’s Evangelical Church.

Rob enjoyed camping at Indian Lake during the summer and was affectionately known as “Popcorn Rob” at Frosty’s Campground.  During the sport season, he could be heard yelling at the coaches and referees or

arguing with his friends about last night’s game.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 2:00-4:00 and

6:00-8:00 p.m. at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Kenton.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the funeral home with Rev. Randall Forester officiating.  Burial will follow in Dola Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Kenton Athletic Boosters in order to establish a wrestling scholarship in Rob’s memory.  Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting stoutcrates.com.
