Almost $7 million will be given to the Ohio Housing Finance Agency from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.

HUD will award almost $55 million in capital advance and project rental grants to 15 organizations across America to expand the supply of affordable rental housing for extremely low-income persons with disabilities.

The money will allow Ohio’s 811 Project Rental Assistance program to increase its number of commitments from the current 485 units by more than half over the coming years.

More information on the grant program and its awardees may be found at http://www.hud.gov.
