Farmers taking out loans for feed, seed, fertilizer, fuel, and other up-front costs ahead of the 2021 growing season may now apply for this year’s Ag-LINK Program.
The Marion Star reports Ohio-based farm operators and agribusiness owners have until March 19 to apply for interest-rate reductions on loans of up to 150-thousand dollars, with lenders receiving a discount of at least one percent.
Ohio has offered the Ag-LINK Program since 1986, with last year’s program reducing interest rates for some 822 farmers across the state on loans totaling 91 million dollars.
Parties interested in participating in this year’s Ag-LINK Program are advised to contact their ag-lender for further details.
