One Person Injured in Downtown Kenton Crash Thursday Afternoon

One person had apparent minor injuries in a two vehicle crash that occurred around 12:55 Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Franklin and Detroit Streets in downtown Kenton.

 

According to information from the Kenton Police Department, Leon Billenstein was driving a pickup north on Detroit and attempted to turn left onto Franklin Street failing to yield to a southbound vehicle being operated by Doris Chamberlain.

 

The resulting collision caused disabling to the pickup, which Billenstein was test driving from Brim’s Imports, and functional damage to Chamberlain’s vehicle.

 

Chamberlain was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital with an apparent minor injury.

 

Billenstein was cited for failure to yield.
