One Person Killed in Marion Crash Thursday Night

One person was killed in a two vehicle crash that occurred in Marion Thursday night.

According to a release from the Marion Post of the Ohio State Patrol, 54 year old Michael Abrams was driving west on Fairground Road when a vehicle being operated by 37 year old Edward Bruce ran a red light while travelling north on Main Street.

After being struck, Abrams’s car overturned and came to rest on its side.

Abrams, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene by Marion County Coroner Dr. Mark Davis.

Bruce and a passenger, 32 year old Jessica Larcom, were not injured.

All of those involved in the crash are from Marion.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted by the Marion Police Department, Marion City Fire and EMS, Marion Township Fire Department and the Marion County Coroner’s Office.

The crash remains under investigation.
