One Person Sustains Minor Injuries in Dunkirk Crash Monday

One person escaped with minor injuries as a result of a crash involving a car and semi in Dunkirk late Monday morning.

 

According to information from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, Amber Smith drove from a red light on Patterson Street onto Main Street. Her car was struck by a southbound semi being operated by Eric Mack, of Detroit, Michigan.

 

Smith refused transport for suspected minor injury. Mack was not injured.

 

The car was towed from the scene by Minnix Towing.

 

Dunkirk EMS and Dunkirk and Forest Fire Departments assisted sheriff’s deputies at the scene.

 

Smith was cited for a red light violation.
