Dr. Martin Luther King's speech at Ohio Northern University was discussed at an event held at the university on Thursday.

Those who were at the historic event were invited to share their memories about the speech during a panel discussion in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts.

The event yesterday marked the 50th Anniversary of Dr. King's talk at ONU's Taft Gymnasium that was given by the civil rights leader on January 11, 1968.

The panel discussion kicked off a series of events to honor the occasion that will culminate with the unveiling of a statue of Dr. King on April 17 outside of Taft Hall.
