The Optimist Club of Kenton-Central Hardin County will hold their annual Halloween Costume Contest and Parade in downtown Kenton on Saturday October 30.
The parade line-up will start at 2:20 that afternoon in the parking lot of the Mary Lou Johnson Hardin County District Library.
It will move out starting at 2:30 and will move south on North Wayne Street, then turn west onto East Franklin Street before heading north on South Main and ending at the corner of Carrol and Main Streets near the Hardin County Armory.
The City of Kenton and Newland-Heydinger Insurance Agency will sponsor activities in the parking lot of the insurance agency.
The Halloween Costume Contest and Parade are open to all ages with prizes awarded for Scariest, Best Costume, Most Original and Best Group.
The Optimist Club encourages all area organizations and groups to participate in the parade by providing a float.
