The Ohio State Highway Patrol will be joining forces with law enforcement throughout Ohio to focus on traffic safety and crash reduction during the July 4th Holiday.
The initiative will begin on Friday, July 2 at 12:01 a.m. and will continue through Monday, July 5 at 11:59 p.m.
Ohio has continued to experience a dramatic increase in traffic fatalities this year.
The campaign is used to help law enforcement raise awareness about the positive impact of reduced speeds, removing impaired drivers, increased seat belt usage, and not driving distracted.
These actions have a significant impact on the safety of everyone who travels in and through the state.
