Ostrander Man Killed in Weekend Crash in Union County
A weekend crash in Union County claimed the life of an Ostrander man.
According to a release from the Union County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred Saturday on U.S. 42 in Jerome Township.
The crash involved a sport utility vehicle that collided with a semi tractor trailer unit.
The driver of the sport utility vehicle, 53 year old Tony Autrey, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Union County Coroner.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Autrey travelled left of center and was struck by the southbound semi.
Alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation by the Multi County Crash Investigation Team.
