Over $208,800 in Scholarships Awarded to Kenton Students Tuesday Morning

The Kenton High School Senior Awards Day was held this (May 11) morning.

52 out of 127 students applied for Dollars for Scholarships, 51 out of 127 students applied for Local Scholarships/The Kenton Excellence for Education Scholarships, 54 out of 127 students applied for the R.E. & Joan Allen Scholarships,

R.E. & Joan Allen Foundation Scholarships total = $60,000 (50 seniors) (up about $5,000 from last year)

Local Scholarships total = $29,800 (37 students) (up about $6,000 from last year)

Dollars for Scholarships = $15,500.00 (28 seniors) (down about $4,000 from last year)

Kenton Excellence for Education Foundation = $103,550.00 (up about $24,000)

Total = $208,850 (up about $38,000 from last year)
